This hunting lease is leased and not available.
This lease is located just minutes from Paw Paw, IL and within an hour and a half from downtown Chicago. If you are in Northern Illinois, this is one you will certainly want to check out. It is open to all legal game, giving you the opportunity to hunt deer, small game, turkey, and even the possibility of geese. Based solely on the Aerial photo, the property includes a mix of timber, row crops, seasonal water, and waterways that run throughout the farm. I have seen it many times where a mature buck will often use those waterways as a travel corridor, especially when the grass is high. The southwest corner of the farm also looks like a potential travel corridor, where the deer could be using this timber to travel to and from to feed. Once the crops are harvested, I would not hesitate to place a box blind in a couple of areas of this farm. Given the lack of timber in the surrounding area, it would not surprise me if this block of timber is being used for bedding. I have not walked the property yet and will not be in Northern IL for another couple of weeks, but I wanted to get this released and out in front of you immediately, as we are not that far away from hunting season. From what I can see on the aerial, there appear to be a couple of solid stand locations. The way this farm lays out and with minimal timber in the area, this farm, in my opinion, has the potential to produce a quality buck. Plus, you have the ability to hunt all legal game.
